This week they played "Niji no Kanata e" off the new album. I requested Nino's solo "Niji". On the radio Jen just called the song "Niji" and played "Niji no Kanata e". But listening to it on the radio like that made me like it more. Also, this means that they have the latest Arashi album, so you can request stuff off that! I requested "Once Again". I love it to pieces.

Btw, they've played Arashi songs for like 5 weeks in a row or something. Yay!

Cost me  US$50 off ebay.  Currently there's a Freestyle tshirt , the one with the seahorse, up for auction but I can't buy it. I already spent my money pre-ordering Dream"A"live concert goods. But I was really happy when I got this. If only I had a better phone to the strap off with. XD

Is so cute. I want it as my ringtone now!

I didn't get to watch Sukiyaki Western Django on Saturday. So I wasted my money there. Sigh sigh sigh. I've decided not to buy many things for a while to make up for the waste of money. Ah well.

But Crows Zero was really fun to watch. And Shun was totally gorgeous in every scene he was in. I  haven't been to see a movie in so long and to watch a movie with a responsive audience is really fun. I want to go watch it again but won't. I'll probably download it or buy it or something. Have a movie day at my house.

So, for whoever's going tomorrow. Lots of fun!

I'm planning on seeing some other films in the festival. I took a catalogue or brochure or something when I was there. Some other Japanese films seem interesting and are screening during the day.

My friend and I went to eat in Chinatown afterwards. Trains had stopped running, had to catch the Nightrider bus and a  taxi ... So, daytime is probably best for me.

The Melbourne Film Festival is coming up in July. I'm tempted to fly down if they show The Hidden Fortress of Kiiroi Namida or something like that. Seriously. I will. Maybe. It's alright to get there but I have nowhere to stay!

Now I'm off to go and google "Crows Zero" to look up the really, gorgeous supporting cast.

So, who else woke up to "Happiness" this morning? XD I did. I'm so completely geeky. I turned on the radio on in my room then the one in the living room and recorded it all on my digital camera. It's a momentous event. XD

I watched the MTV Japan awards. And I'm re-crushing on Matsuda Shota. I got a little bit of a crush on him when I saw him in Bara no Nai Hanaya. Then I was reading somewhere that he can speak English and found a clip of that. And he has a British accent when he speaks English. Anyhoo, he was presenting the Vanguard Award to Mariah Carey. He looked so nervous. I would be too if I was about to meet Mariah Carey. All the craziness aside ... she reminds me of my childhood. I have her first album on CD. The album slip pamphlet thing is all worn and stuff and she looks so different but I have it. He was so cute there.

Oguri Shun was the first presenter and the audience was just screaming for him. Aww. He looked cute. I saw photos of his outfit and I thought ... "WTH?" But when you see him wear it and move and talk and stuff, it suits him. I didn't like Yamada Yu's first dress but the dress she wore when she was presenting was so pretty.

I didn't know EXILE was so big. It's probably because I have a skewed vision of Japanese music. If it's not Johnnys or Johnnys related I have no idea. Johnnys groups aren't allowed to be nominated for these things, right? It's a shame. I think it would be really cool to see them there.

I downloaded the awards off jpopsuki, if you're looking for it. Perhaps someone has already put it up on YouTube.

I was randomly thinking, I don't know how it came up, maybe because I was watching a load of D no Arashi yesterday but Jin, Jun and Ryo being friends seems a little ... quite not right. Like to me, and I don't know much about NEWS or KAT-TUN, but Jin and Ryo seem sleazy. And Jun doesn't have that kind of image. So, it's weird to kind of put them together. That said, Jin and Ryo are probably not what I imagine ... but it's just to think of Jun without the rest of Arashi. I was watching a random HYD2 special or something and he's hanging out with the other guys in F4 and all I was thinking was ... "This is wrong. Something isn't right." I don't really like it when he hangs out with other people. I feel better if he's just with Arashi all the time. Irrational, I know.

I bought my tickets to Crows Zero and Sukiyaki Western Django for the Sydney Film Festival. I'm going the 7th and 8th of June. I didn't know it was going to be a long weekend this weekend. So yay!

Also, are Johnnys not allowed to be in other magazines? I was looking at the cover of Junon and well, maybe that was it. Or other music magazines that are not Myojo or Wink Up or Duet. Like magazines with bands in them. Are they only allowed in idol friendly magazines? Because I was looking at the cover of Junon and they're not there. And even for the HYDF, there's no pic of Jun. Btw, before someone pointed it out, I didn't know that Jun wasn't even on the HYD website.

And lastly ... Sho and his thumb. I hope he doesn't feel so bad and be all self-blaming. Like "I'm letting the group down" or whatever. Fell off the stage though? Difficult to imagine.

And I pre-ordered my concert goods. Yay! Really want the mobile phone straps. I think the caterpillar is cute.

edit: it opened the show!! well i don't have to listen to the rest right? becaue they probably won't play 2 arashi tracks.  SO HAPPY! YES TOTALLY JUMPING UP AND DOWN AND RUNNING TO TURN ON RADIOS AND CAMERAS AND THINGS!

I still hope they play Arashi for their total request show! HEE!

edit 2: they're playing the song from the jdrama 'galileo'. I forgot how much I liked that song.

Yeah, I want to write an email to Ohno's radio show. I don't know much kanji or many words at all in Jap. So far all I've gotten basic introduction stuff. I just want him to know that he and Arashi have fans in Oz as well as elsewhere. So, instead of studying I'll be trying to do all of that ... so, you know ... when I post my draft email there will be some nice generous people who'll kindly correct me, right? XD

Btw, what's "Ohno" in hiragana or kanji? My email starts off with: こにちは　おおのくん
Btw, is there a "dear [name]" thing in Japanese instead of saying konichiwa, which probably is not right. I haven't learnt it yet ...

Important bits are that Jen says "A-ro-shi" ... I think she meant Arashi. They play Step and Go and then Jen says that's for all the Arashi fans out there.

Catch the repeat on Monday 6am. They play Arashi in the second hour.

And because YouTube deleted it ... My 5-year-old cousin knows the members of Arashi!
